“Civil engineering department was established in the year 2007 with initial intake 60 where current intake is 30. Department is recognized by AICTE, DTE and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The department has been successful in producing 450 Civil Engineers in the service of the nation. The department labs are fully equipped with latest configuration, licensed software’s and Internet facility. The department has conventional laboratories like Testing of Materials, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, CAD, Concrete Technology, Fluid Mechanics, Environmental Engineering etc. Department has experienced and dynamic faculty members which help the students to acquire maximum practical knowledge by high quality teaching.”

The Department is continuously striving for excellence in engineering education and research. The Department acts as a focal point for development, growth and entrepreneurship. It gives exposure to its students, to not only the regular Engineering curriculum but also to the aspirations of today’s corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude in them.

A warm and affectionate welcome from the Department of Civil Engineering, at PGMCOE. Civil Engineering is a professional Engineering discipline that deals with design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings.

Our department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty and staff members and we are striving hard continuously to improve upon the quality of education and to maintain its position of leadership in Engineering and technology. We always work with the motto “Nothing can be achieved without genuine effort.” The core values of the department helps the students to develop their overall personality and make them worthy technocrat to compete and work at global level. Our department has been conducting seminar / conferences since its beginning to keep the faculty and students abreast with the latest developments in the field of technical education.
